Hello, friends!
I'm Jesús.
Stand-up comedian. Children's book author. Taco show host. Girl dad. In that approximate order, on a good day.

Backstage at the Improv. The long version.
I'm Jesús Trejo, a stand-up comedian from Long Beach, CA. You might recognize me from my first comedy special, "Stay At Home Son" on Showtime, or my second special "Practicing?" which is available for free on my YouTube channel. I've also had the honor of performing stand-up on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" and made multiple appearances on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon."
On screen, I played the recurring character Mr. Trujillo on Netflix's "Mr. Iglesias" and appeared as Efraín in Hulu's "This Fool," where I also contributed as a writer for the second season.
In the literary world, my debut children's book, "Papá's Magical Water Jug Clock," received two 2024 Pura Belpré Honors (Author and Illustrator). It's available in English and Spanish. My second book, "Mamá's Magnificent Dancing Plantitas," is out now (find it at your local bookstore or wherever you shop for books online).
When I'm not on stage, I host and executive produce "Tacos con Todo" on First We Feast, a web series where I dive into LA's taco scene with celebrity guests. Most recently, I served as Executive Producer and Host of "Roots of Comedy" on PBS, a docu-series about up-and-coming comedians and how every joke is rooted in community.
Abrazos, Jesús Trejo:)

It's the thing I keep coming back to — on stage, on the page, at the taqueria. The work is just an excuse to sit with people.
Let's be in the same room.
Nos vemos pronto.
A comedy show, a book event, a school visit. Check the calendar, or just say hi.
